A gateway of opportunity, New York City offers loads of vacation options for every type of traveler. It is as brilliant and complex as an intricately cut diamond, an urban wanders paradise. Like a trip down the rabbit hole, where you can choose your own kind of adventure every time you step outside.
Amidst its many facets and sparkling lights, you’ll find culinary delights, oodles of shopping choices, world-class museums, and stunning art. You can set your sights as high as the Empire State and create a “to-do” list as long as Broadway because there is something to suit every preference and every budget in New York City. The sky is really the limit in the city that never sleeps.
I know I could plan a great budget trip for our family to NYC, filled with tons of fun and free things to do but what if money wasn’t an object? What if we were granted three wishes and could stay, eat, and play in NYC and cost didn’t matter, what would we choose to do?
We Would Stay In the Lap of Luxury
I recently wrote about luxury hotels in New York City for Hipmunk and I have thought about one dreamy hotel ever since! The Peninsula New York is a premium five-star hotel on 5th Avenue in Manhattan. It is right in the heart of the city’s best shopping and entertainment district. The amenities are to die for including a luxurious three-level spa and the rooftop terrace that offers sophisticated cocktails and spectacular views of Manhattans glittering skyline. A Deluxe Suite goes for $4300 a night! If I were planning a trip to NYC and money wasn’t a concern that is the suite I would book for sure.
We Would Eat Among the Stars
A restaurant that boasts three Michelin Stars that is. We have never eaten at a restaurant that holds such a distinction and NYC boasts a nice selection from one to three stars. Eleven Madison Park is one of the most distinguished with three stars to their credit. Critics and patrons alike rave about the exquisite food and inviting ambiance. Considered an upscale American Menu, the talented Chef Daniel Humm is the most decorated chef in all of America. The menu is $225 per person and undoubtedly worth every penny, especially if we weren’t worried about the check!
We Would Tour From the Sky and Sea
We love to take tours of the cities we visit. We pick tours within our budget, usually walking tours and there are so many great ones available in NYC. If I was planning a trip to NYC and money were no object a bird’s eye view of the big apple would be nice. A completely different perspective on New York City is available touring with HeliNY. They offer sweeping helicopter tours over the iconic city, a truly exhilarating way to take in the splendor of Manhattans skyline! Another exciting and unconventional way to see the city is with New York Media Tours. You zip around New York Harbor in an inflatable boat that offers tour goers thrilling adventurous sightseeing and outstanding photo ops.
Do you dream of experiencing a destination in a way that’s outside your travel budget? What would you do if money were no object?
