Guest Post Guidelines
Attention travelers! Are you a writer or blogger? Have you had some great experiences while traveling? If so, we’d love you to share your guest posts on the Expat Experiment!
We would welcome any content that covers any interesting destination, although we would prefer destinations that we have already written about, this helps establish an authority in the subject matter. Posts about useful travel tips or articles about traveling with kids, or even digital nomad type posts will also be considered.
We have a decent sized audience (+100000) and it is growing everyday. Your article on the Expat Experiment will give you access to our audience and we will include links back to your blog.
Making sure our audience will relate to your post we do have some guidelines that will make the most of your experience. We want as many people as possible to read your post so please read the following guidelines before contacting us.
We also want to make sure you’re happy with the requirements before pitching your ideas.
Expat Experiment is a travel resource site that focuses on long term travel, traveling for less, travel for families, and those who want to travel with their kids. We feel the articles which work best are detailed, informative posts about destinations or how how to save money while traveling.
Although we will evaluate every guest post submission, we would prefer posts that are similar to “Things to do in [Place Name].... with Kids or in winter or on a budget etc.”
The post would obviously include your top things to do in that destination. Ideally, the more detailed the better, you could include other tips for the destination, what time of year is the best time to visit, how to get around, what type of budget you need, best places to stay, eat, etc.
This is not required, however the more detailed and helpful your article is, the more likely people will read it and click through to your blog.
There are many examples of this style post on the Expat Experiment. Here is an example of a successful post. You don’t need to be as in depth as this, but it gives you an idea of where to start.
We prefer destinations that we have already written about. You can search our site to find the cities that we have written about. Google likes sites that have “authority” there is no better way to develop authority that by having many in-depth posts about a single destination.
How to get started
