Motel One Manchester Piccadilly: Luxurious Budget Accommodation in Manchester

Comfort, convenience, and luxury are not three words you would associate with budget travel. If you want to save on travel costs, you expect to compromise on comfort, forgo convenience, and forget all about luxury.

We have been burned a few times trying to get the best price on accommodation. This taught us that convenience and comfort were worth paying extra for. When we needed to book a night in Manchester on our way to Belfast, we wanted to find a hotel that was convenient, comfortable, and the best value for money.

We decided to stay with Motel One Manchester Piccadilly because it was the best choice for budget accommodation in Manchester based on our priorities.

Staying in the city center was most convenient for us and Motel one was situated perfectly. We took the train to Manchester and Motel One was right across the street from where our train arrived at Piccadilly Station!

Another great benefit to staying central in Manchester is most of the attractions can be accessed on foot. We didn’t need to spend anything for transportation, staying with Motel One saved us time and money with its terrific location.

We were only in Manchester for a little more than 24 hours and we planned to see a lot. Staying at Motel One Manchester Piccadilly helped us save time with their location, so we could see all we wanted to see, such a huge convenience!

Travel days are hectic, but the day we traveled to Manchester was extremely so. We have stayed in many hotels and have had a wide range of experiences.

Checking into any budget hotel, we expect to go without certain amenities and comforts. Checking into Motel One Manchester Piccadilly, our expectations were obliterated.

There is nothing better than amazing accommodation for an outstanding price.

We love comfort just as much as convenience but comfort is the first thing we compromise on to save money when booking hotels. We didn’t compromise on anything and felt nothing short of amazed checking into Motel One!

The lobby definitely felt more like a four-star hotel than three-star.

Inviting lobbies and sophisticated lounges are not characteristic of most three-star hotels in our experience. Motel One Piccadilly had both. The lobby and lounge shared the same space, creating an impressive welcome. We felt like we were staying somewhere special and we hadn’t even seen the room yet!

The room was delightful! Every bit of space was well thought out.

The finishing was lovely; premium bedding (Egyptian cotton!), granite surfaces, Zen-like decor, things you would expect in a designer hotel, not a budget one. We knew we wouldn’t be spending a lot of time in the room because we had such a short time to explore the city. However, when we were in the room we needed it to be comfortable and restful as we had some challenging travel timelines with a 6-year-old in tow.

The room was small but definitely comfortable (with a premium king size bed), and restful, very quiet despite its close proximity to the train and the busy center. Another thing that helped us sleep easier is kids sleep free. All kids 12 and under stay free in their parent’s room! We had no problem getting a great night sleep.

Not your standard continental breakfast, Motel One thinks delicious food doesn’t have to be expensive!

We love to eat breakfast where we are staying because of the convenience, but only if the menu looks good and the price is right. Motel One impressed us again with a terrific spread at a very reasonable price.

The breakfast buffet was huge and varied; cold meats, cheeses, yogurt, muesli, pastries, fruit salad, fresh veggies, eggs, fresh coffee, tea, juice, and warm croissants! All the offerings were fresh and we were all very full because of the wide variety of choices. The cost of the breakfast is very reasonable, €9.50 and all kids 6 and under enjoy breakfast free of charge.

There were many things about Motel One we loved, their well-appointed rooms and efficient use of space all over the hotel, the premium finishings, the comfortable quiet rooms, and the terrific breakfast. All of those things and the budget room rates equal amazing value for money. The hotel impressed and so did the service, every member of the Motel One team we encountered was warm, friendly and professional. We have never stayed with Motel One before but after this experience, we will definitely stay with them again, in Manchester or any other European city they have a hotel in!
