We love finding great deals on travel. Searching for cheap vacations is our favorite kind of bargain shopping. Places less traveled like Spokane, Washington, offer great accommodation choices and lots to do for would be travelers on a budget.
We Save and Make the Most of Vacations
- One way we save money and add value to our vacations is to stay in the cities where we have connecting flights. We book our flights through cities that will save us real money. Booking two separate flights one from home through a city that is cheap to, and one from that city to our destination. This tactic helped us save a lot of money to stay a few days in the connecting city. We drove to Spokane when we flew to Thailand, and saved $600 on our flights. That was good money to spend a few days exploring Spokane before our long flight to Thailand.
- We look for cheap ways to stay in our connecting city and then carry on to our destination. We search for cheap accommodation using a resource like Booking.com and Airbnb. Booking.com is a travel-booking site committed to helping travelers find the best prices on hotels, apartments, villas and more. We like that it’s a one stop shop to find the best prices. If our stay is a little longer we use Airbnb to find accommodations that have full kitchens so that we can save money by cooking our own meals instead of eating out. Spokane has lots of budget hotels and Airbnb options.
